This year has proven unpredictable for cattle producers.
An upcoming webinar from the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture aims to shed some light on the coming fall marketing season, taking into account aspects both perennial and those unique to this year.
An hour-long webinar covering current market conditions, factors that affect bid price, calf management, and supplemental feeding for preconditioned marketing has been planned.
The online webinar is free to attend, but registration is required.
The webinar will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
It will include Dr. James Mitchell, livestock economist, UA Division of Agriculgure, a conversation with a cattle buyer about factors that affect bid price with Jennifer Sansom, CEA in Little River County with Mark Coleman, and calf management and supplemental feeding for preconditioned marketing with Dr. Jeff Lehmkuhler, nutritionist, University of Kentucky.
