The Alcoholic Beverage Control Division has taken actions regarding Columbia County licenses.

The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board took action on several Columbia County retailers at the October ABC Board meeting.

The agency is a division of the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration.

According to the website, for the week ending October 25, applicant Tammy L. Johnson applied for a "transfer of location" permit in the "restaurant beer and wine-on premises only" category for Village One Stop and 82 Grill at 446 Columbia 11 E, Magnolia. Johnson has opened a new restaurant, Finns & Hooves, at that location.

There were no violation resumes posted on the website for Columbia County retailers, and none were cited for insufficient funds this past month.

According to the website's October 9 posting, a new permit in the "restaurant wine" category was approved effective September 12 for William B. Adams on behalf of Mule Kick, LLC, at 2158 N. Jackson St. in Magnolia. Also approved was a new permit in the "grocery store wine" category effective August 15 for Lawrence J. Gatta on behalf of Dollar General Store 16297 at 101 W. Pine St. in Taylor.

In the "private club" category, the status of a local bed and breakfast/private club was placed on "inactive" effective August 29. According to the ABC website, this was The Loft on the Square, LLC, at 105 1/2 S. Court Square, Magnolia, owned by Sandra E. McCalman.
