Arkansas corn area harvested in 2019 is 725,000, up 12 percent from 2018.

Agricultural officials have released final crop estimates for the 2019 calendar year.

Arkansas corn area harvested is 725,000, up 12 percent from 2018. The average yield is estimated at 175 bushels per acre, down 6 bushels from last year. Production totaled 127 million bushels, up 9 percent from 2018.

Upland cotton harvested acres is 610,000, up 27 percent from 2018. The yield is expected to average 1,102 pounds per harvested acre, down 31 pounds from last year. Production is estimated at 1.40 million bales, up 24 percent from 2018.

All hay harvested is 1.25 million acres, up 4 percent from 2018. The average yield is estimated at 2.20 tons per acre, up 0.40 ton from last year. Production totaled 2.76 million tons, up 27 percent from 2018.

Area harvested for peanuts is 33,000 acres, up 43 percent from 2018. The average yield is estimated at 5,200 pounds per acre, up 300 pounds from last year. Production totaled 172 million pounds, up 52 percent from 2018.

All rice acres harvested is 1.13 million acres, down 21 percent from 2018. The all rice yield for is estimated at 7,480 pounds per acre, down 40 pounds from last year. Production totaled 84.3 million hundredweight, down 21 percent from 2018.

Soybean area harvested is 2.61 million acres, down 19 percent from 2018. The average yield is estimated at 49 bushels per acre, down 2 bushels from last year. Production totaled 128 million bushels, down 21 percent from 2018.

Area seeded to winter wheat for 2020 is forecast up 45 percent from the previous year to 160,000 acres.
