Arkansas egg settings were down significantly last week.

Arkansas hatcheries set 22.4 million broiler-type eggs during the week ending November 9, down 7 percent from the comparable week in 2018 and down 2 percent from the previous week.

Hatcheries in the United States weekly program set 222 million eggs in incubators during the week ending November 9, up slightly from a year ago.

Arkansas broiler-type chicks placed for meat production were 18.8 million during the week ending November 9, down 5 percent from the comparable week in 2018 and down 4 percent from the previous week. Broiler growers in the United States weekly program placed 179 million for meat production during the week ending November 9, up 4 percent from a year ago.
