The Festival of Stars Toy and Donation Drive and Radiothon raised $274,160.65 for Arkansas Children’s from 11 statewide locations on Friday.
The Magnolia Chapter of Circle of Friends took part in the drive.
Toys collected during Festival of Stars Toy Drive support patients and their families at Arkansas Children’s during the holiday season and throughout the year.
All monetary donations made through Festival of Stars Toy and Donation Drive and Radiothon benefit Arkansas Children’s Child Life and Social Work funds.
In addition to Magnolia, nine Circle of Friends chapters and Propak Corporation hosted volunteers from around the state collecting toys at the following locations: Conway, El Dorado, Fort Smith, Hot Springs, Jonesboro, Little Rock, Russellville, Springdale, Texarkana and White Hall.
Broadcasting live from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. on the campus of Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Cumulus Media hosted this year’s Festival of Stars Radiothon and featured on-air talent from B98.5, Alice 107.7 and their sister stations.
In addition to holiday favorites, listeners enjoyed inspirational stories of hope and healing from the patients and families at Arkansas Children’s. Festival of Stars Radiothon in Little Rock has raised more than $3 million in the past 15 years.
