Food bank

The Harvest Regional Food Bank will visit the Waldo Fire Department on Wednesday, April 8.

Harvest Regional Food Bank is returning to Columbia County with its TEFAP USDA Commodity Mobile Pantry.

Commodities will be distributed directly from Harvest’s truck from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, April 8. The truck will be parked at 102 E. Main St., Waldo, inside the fire department.

With precautions against the coronavirus being necessary, Harvest will have a drive-through food distribution event. Food boxes will be distributed to participants in cars. Participants would not be allowed to exit the vehicle or park to pick up the food.

Recipients must bring photo identification verifying their age and residence in Columbia County. Distribution is limited to one per household.

USDA TEFAP commodities will be available for those who meet income requirements.
