The public is invited to remember veterans with the placement of flags at the Columbia County Courthouse early Monday morning.

People interested in helping to place United States flags around the Columbia County Courthouse on Veterans Day are invited to meet at the American Legion Post on Legion Drive at 5 a.m. Monday.

They will have a free breakfast and then load the flags for transportation to the courthouse.

The American Legion will host an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 5-8 a.m. at the American Legion Building on Legion Drive.

A Veterans Day potluck will follow at noon, followed by a town hall meeting with the commander of American Legion Post 3 to discuss

what the American Legion wants to do for veterans and the community in the future.

Regular American Legion Post meetings are held at 7 p.m. every second Monday, with the exception of Veterans Day.
