Downtown Camden’s First Friday Market celebrates “Staycation Adventures” from 6-9 p.m. Friday, August 2.
Several activities are planned in conjunction with the event.
The “Downtown Camping” area will have several campsites. People are asked to bring a canned food item to leave in front of the campsite they feel is best decorated. All canned food items will be donated to a local food pantry.
The Natural State Escape Room will be set up. The cost is $5 per person. Groups of 5 to 6 will be able to try to beat the time on the special Escape Room.
Selfies may be taken with Woody and Jesse from “Toy Story.”
Vendors set up along Washington Street and Adams Avenue selling everything from refurbished furniture to jewelry. Food and refreshments will include Indian-style food, Oriental egg rolls and dumplings, or Italian Ice. New York-style hot dogs, fried fish and smoked meats are also on the menu.
Stephanie Bennett Thompson will be on hand with her book, “Love Yourself First” at A Frame of Mind.
There will be live music.
Downtown merchants will be open late with First Friday specials.
