Camden Juneteenth

Juneteenth festivities are planned in Camden through next week.

The schedule has been announced for Juneteenth festivities in Camden.

Friday, June 14

6 p.m. -- Juneteenth Jam On talent show at Camden Fairview Middle School. Singers, rappers, poets, dancers, actors, steppers and comedians are invited. Cash prizes will be awarded by a panel of judges. Tickets are $5. Proceeds will go toward the Juneteenth Scholarship program.

Sunday, June 16

4 p.m. -- Juneteenth Car, Bike and Truck Show and Concert at Carnes Park.

Friday, June 21

7 p.m. – Camden Juneteenth Parade, starting at post office, heading east on Washington before turning south on Adams and then turning west on Jackson and ending near the CFIS.

7:45 p.m. -- Kids Block Party at Farmers Bank & Trust lot.

Saturday, June 22

Noon -- Juneteenth Health Fair, Camden Fairview Middle School.

Noon and 3 p.m. -- African American Landmark Tour and 1st Kansas Colored Regiment Historical Presentation. The tour starts at Carnes Park and travels through Camden before ending with a presentation at Zion Hill.
