There will be fireworks, but there will be no “Sparks in the Park” celebration at Magnolia’s East Side Park.

“Sparks” is traditionally held on the evening of July 3, which will be on a Friday this year. It has included live music, food trucks and other entertainment prior to fireworks show at dusk, sponsored by the Magnolia Advertising and Promotion Commission and others.

This year, the park remains closed due to the pandemic. However, there will be a fireworks display after dark. People may watch the fireworks from parking lots or from their homes on the east side of Magnolia.
