Nikki Hill

Nikkie Hill is the headliner for the first 2019 Summer Concert Series performance in El Dorado.

Schedules have been announced for Downtown El Dorado’s Summer Concert Series, Showdown at Sunset reenactments and Grill Wars, Main Street El Dorado and Murphy Arts District events.

Starting Saturday, June 22 and continuing all summer, performers and national touring acts will be part of the 2019 Murphy USA Summer Concert Series, presented by MAD and Main Street El Dorado.

“This year we wanted to build on the success of the tremendous concerts that Murphy USA has brought to summers in El Dorado with the Summer Concert Series by adding more activities around the music, working hard to entice even more people to come downtown” said Bob Tarren, chief marketing officer for The Murphy Arts District/MAD.

Nikki Hill, blues singer, guitarist and songwriter, will open the summer schedule this Saturday.

Hailing from Durham, NC, Hill comes by her Deep South soul that began while singing in gospel choirs as a child. After pairing up with her guitar-playing husband Matt Hill, they have established themselves as roots rock and roll powerhouses drawing crowds from every avenue at their shows. Nikki now has established herself as “The Southern Fireball,” “the new soul sensation”, and even “the new Queen of Rock and Roll” by music critics and press writers and is still gaining momentum .

Opening for Hill will be Emi Sunshine. Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Emi Sunshine has already graced some of the most-prestigious stages -- from the "Today Show," to the Grand Ole Opry (over a dozen times) and most recently, “Little Big Shots starring Steve Harvey” last April.

A well-crafted storyteller, Emi's music has been described as an “old-timey," unique blend of roots music that is equal parts Americana, bluegrass, gospel, and country, with a sprinkle of blues.
