EAST CAMDEN – SAU Tech’s Rocket Day on Tuesday, November 19 will allow special needs students from area schools to interact with the Tech community.

This will be the third Rocket Day, with hundreds of students, parents, teachers and caregivers expected to attend from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The first year the event was held, more than 150 students came. SAU Tech’s staff, students, and other volunteers help with the event, which includes games, lunch, and lots of fun all catered to meet the needs of the children attending.

Attendance for the 2019 event is expected to be well over 200.

Dr. Jason Morrison, SAU Tech Chancellor, said that, “The event is a great opportunity to provide interaction and fun that is rarely provided in the day to day routine of these students. Rocket Day is a blessing to the students as well as all the volunteers working the event.”
