Southern Arkansas University has named the Columbia County high school seniors who will receive academic scholarships to attend the university starting this fall.

Southern Arkansas University has announced the awarding of scholarships to Columbia County high school students for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Students from this area include the following:

Joshua Attebery, son of Radonna Attebery and Steven Attebery, from Magnolia. Attebery will receive the Presidential Scholarship worth $5,500 per semester.

Anna Gunnels, daughter of Robert D. Gunnels and Marla Gunnels, from Magnolia. Gunnels will receive the Achievement Scholarship worth $1,000 per semester.

Maggie Gunnels, daughter of Robert D. Gunnels and Marla Gunnels, from Magnolia. Gunnels will receive the Achievement Scholarship worth $1,000 per semester.

Brandon Johnson, son of Leshan and Michael Johnson, from Magnolia. Johnson will receive the Achievement Scholarship worth $1,000 per semester.

Brianna Nipper, daughter of Stephanie Brown, from Magnolia. Nipper will receive the Achievement Scholarship worth $1,000 per semester.

Kaitlyn Norman, daughter of Mark and Kathy Callahan and Terry Norman, from Magnolia. Norman will receive the Blue and Gold Scholarship worth $3,300 per semester.

Thomas Norman, son of Mark and Kathy Callahan and Terry Norman, from Magnolia. Norman will receive the Blue and Gold Scholarship worth $3,300 per semester.

Chloe Rowe, daughter of Julie Rowe and Jason Rowe, from Waldo. Rowe will receive the Blue and Gold Scholarship worth $3,300 per semester.

Emalee Tinnell, daughter of Jake Tinnell and Ellen Tinnell, from Magnolia. Tinnell will receive the Achievement Scholarship worth $1,000 per semester.

Allison Owen, daughter of Ron and Christy Owen, from Magnolia. Owen will receive the Achievement Scholarship worth $1,000 per semester.

Brandon Bailey, son of B.J. and Jody Bailey and Kim Lester, from Magnolia. Bailey will receive the University Scholarship worth $4,500 per semester.

A'Niya Blanks, daughter of Patrice Heard, from Magnolia. Blanks will receive the Achievement Scholarship worth $1,000 per semester.

Broden Bogues, son of Nichole Bogues, from Magnolia. Bogues will receive the Achievement Scholarship worth $1,000 per semester.

Azaria Broomfield, daughter of Sheila Broomfield, from Magnolia. Broomfield will receive the Achievement Scholarship worth $1,000 per semester.

Elizabeth Burgess, daughter of Anne Burgess and Kenny Burgess, from Magnolia. Burgess will receive the Presidential Scholarship worth $5,500 per semester.

Lauren Chambliss, daughter of James and Jaime Chambliss, from Magnolia. Chambliss will receive the University Scholarship worth $4,500 per semester.

Stephanie Criner, daughter of Steven and LaShawnda Criner, from Magnolia. Criner will receive the Blue and Gold Scholarship worth $3,300 per semester.

Katie Davis, daughter of Nancy Jordan, from Magnolia. Davis will receive the Achievement Scholarship worth $1,000 per semester.
