Malli Dooly, a Columbia County 4-H member from Emerson, was recently recognized as the recipient of the 2020 Arkansas 4-H Dennis Millard Scholarship.
This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a 4-H’er enrolled in a two- or four-year institution of higher education who has excelled in 4-H leadership, 4-H community service or the mentoring of other 4-H members.
First priority is given to members from Grant, Hot Spring, or Miller Counties. Second priority given to members in the Ouachita District. Columbia County 4-H is one of the 25 counties in the Ouachita District.
Applicants are required to submit a 500-word essay with their achievements, future goals, and the impact 4-H has had on their life. Dooly has been a member of Columbia County 4-H since the age of five and has served in many leadership roles in that time. She is the daughter of Shawn and Amber Dooly of Emerson. She has two other siblings in Columbia County 4-H, a brother, Dawson and a sister, Holland.
