Central Elementary School held its 2019 Science Fair judging on Monday, December 9.
The overall winner of the science fair was sixth-grade student Walker Carter. Carter competed in the Biological Science category and the name of his project was "Growing Chickens."
The overall runner-up award went to Michael Boyd with his project, "Chapstick that Makes You Smile." Boyd competed in the Medicine and Health Science category.
Students placing first, second, or third in each category advance to the regional science fair. Southern Arkansas University will host the regional fair on March 8.
