New community education classes are set to begin soon at South Arkansas Community College:
Bread-Making Workshop 1 (5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. January 13, McGehee Building culinary lab, East Campus) with SouthArk culinary arts program director Lilli Ellen will cover Parker house rolls and Polish starter bread. Cost is $25.
Bread-Making Workshop 2 (5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. January 20, culinary lab) with Ellen will cover baguettes. Cost is $25.
Bread-Making Workshop 3 (5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. January 27, culinary lab) with Ellen will cover challah and brioche. Cost is $25.
Six Weeks of Spanish Using Mango (5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays Jan. 28-March 3, Health Science Center lecture hall, West Campus). Mango is a language-learning software. Cost is $40.
Yoga 101 (5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Mondays February 3-24, Center for Workforce Development room 121, East Campus) with Jenn Purinton, will teach postures, breathing, relaxation and meditation. Cost is $35.
Chocolate Classes and Tastings (5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. February 6 and 13, culinary lab), with Ellen, will cover salted caramel cashew bark, chocolate garnishes, nutella truffles and chambord truffles. Cost is $50.
Line Dance Lessons (5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Workforce Development 121) with Mary Meadows covers all types of line dance. Cost is $15 per month.
SouthArk community education classes do not provide college credit.
Payment can be made in person, or by phone, with the SouthArk Bookstore, located inside the El Dorado Conference Center.
